  1. add multiple answer boxes

Want several different answer boxes on one question while allowing for text to be added before or after each answer box.

  2. nth roots

Need to be able to have root answers other than just the square root (sqrt). For example: nthroot would be the nth root. So 3rdroot(7) would be the third root of 7 and 8throot(3x-2) would be the 8th root of the quantity 3x - 2.

  3. Allow students to see their own gradebook row.

I'd like my students to be able to login and see the total scores for all of their sessions, rather than only being able to review each session one at a time.

  4. Incorporate heat map functionality to composite sketch question

With larger classes, composite sketches become an almost solid blue box. It would be great to see trends where overlapping pixels become more intensely colored.

  5. End of semester course end

Easy end of semester course close
I would like to be able to reuse my LC questions in subsequent semesters. Is there any way to end student access to courses/semesters that have completed, so that former students cannot access old LC sessions. One way might be to have an option for the course (instead of just the module) where you can check "Do not allow students to review their performance on this COURSE".

  6. Make it possible to deliver the question with different difficulty level depending on the previous answer by the student - adaptive learning

Faculties can build a library of questions and categories based on the difficulty level. LC is then select the question based on a difficulty level . If the student answer wrongly, a similar will be deliver to reinforce the concept answer, else the student will be presented with a question with higher difficulty level - Adaptive Learning assessment

  7. make action buttons bigger & make hidden links visible (out of the gear icon)

Question delivery buttons (deliver, stop, show results) are very small and often allow for mistakes especially if you deliver questions on the iPad. In a busy classroom setting, bigger buttons will be helpful for instructors. Also, options (start session, edit, results) in the gear icon are not obvious to users unless you click on it.

  8. simplify algebraic entries in the aggregate view of student responses

In the current view, algebraically identical responses that differ in their spacing appear as different answers (e.g., 1.0M+2x, 1.0M +2x, 1.0M + 2x are tallied separately). What I would really like to know is how many people entered 1.0 M + 2x vs. 1.0 M - 2x vs. 1.0 + 2x etc. This will help me understand where they are getting confused.

  9. default

When creating a module, be able to choose default settings (e.g. "Hide sessions for this module from students" checked and grade for "Participation" selected automatically.

  11. Copy Edit function

Create a copy and edit function as you select the problems you are using so you can make minor adjustments prior to adding to your module

  12. allow group work without requiring a seat map.

My classroom of 36 is arranged in a 9x4 grid. I found that having students choose their place in the seat map was more confusing than it was worth. I like having the groups assigned without regard for seating so that the students all get to know each other. And that option is offered (the option to ignore seating when assigning groups). But if you don't require students to choose a seat, then the group creation is entirely disabled.

  15. Allow questions to be delivered one at a time in Team Based Assessment mode

Allow questions to be delivered one at a time in Team Based Assessment mode

    Hi Everyone,

I am about to trial LC in Australia and I am very excited about the possibilities of using the team assessment delivery mode. We have just opened a new flat learning space that has separate tables of five students spread around the room and I think LC team based assessment will be perfect for this setting. I really like the idea of students responding to questions individually first, then discussing within their groups and then submitting a team answer.

    However, I have a suggestion…

  16. Allow the instructor to select and set aside individual short answer responses as they are coming in

It is difficult for an instructor to keep track of the short or long answer responses as they come in in real time from the students, particularly in larger classes. It would be helpful if those answers could be clicked on and set aside for individual display on the room screen to discuss with the class once all the responses have come in.

  19. Integrate a printing option on the 'older session review' page

A printing feature for previous tests to review the questions on paper. Now we can only use the printing feature on the browser, splitting questions of previous tests on separate papers. That is quite inconvenient.

  20. include "Reactions" data in a timeline on course playback

When instructors review data from a class, it would be useful to be able to see the "Reactions" data in a timeline synched with the questions, so instructors can easily see when students got confused and what content was being presented at the time. It is nice to do that real-time, but being able to review those data later would be valuable as well.
