  2. Allow live session instructor review of individual student responses

Allow live (mid-session) instructors to click on any response and see what student submitted it. Even if a seat map is not used.

FOR CLASS has this feature. The instructor wants to do round 1, see who got/missed the question, call on them to discuss, then potentially do a second round. He does NOT want to use a seat map.

Without a seat map, I do not see a way to review individual results and identify student names without ending the session and going to review results.

  3. Resizing images

It would be nice if LC allows to you to use html to resize images (e.g. <img src="vvst.jpg" width="50%" height="50%" class="display">

I am writing questions with two images, and the default sizes seems depend on the width of the image, so the relative size of one picture to the other can look odd, where one picture is very big and the other tiny.

  4. Matching Interface

The matching interface is horrible. Instead of first choice, second choice, etc. students should see the actual choices.

Also, despite repeated attempts I cannot get the matching question to list the same option only once. For instance, if I have three subquestions that match to "zero," the option "zero" shows up three times. LC help pages say this should only show up once. I have tried to copy and paste the answers, still to no avail

  5. Provide an password option for a LC module

I use LC participation as my attendance. However, that can be sidestepped by logging in from outside of class. If I could post an in-class password, I could prevent that.

  6. Record or add audio to a question

When creating quizzes for language courses, the ability to add audio to a question is a key feature. The audio should be able to be uploaded from your local computer, or recorded when creating the question. The attached audio should be played directly - not downloaded as an attachment.

  7. I would love to be able to delete some of my courses. !

It would be very helpful if I can just delete courses that I will never use. I don't see the reason why I can't do that.

  8. Providing an option for a LockDown environment.

Providing an option for a LockDown environment.

I would love to see the option for a lock-down session. This would be ideal in a classroom to use LC to deliver major exams with the comfort of knowing students could not use the device in front of them to conduct information searches.

While I understand that this might not initially be a viable idea on many mobile devices, if we could at least implement the concept on laptops it would prove helpful.

  9. Allow the export of the "Attendance Information" spreadsheet

Sometimes we have wireless issues so students can't log their answers, but we want to give them credit for attending the class.

  10. improve pdf output options

I am giving a team-based assessment exam in LC and would like to have some pdf print-outs as backup in case any students have laptop issues. There are currently several limitations of the pdf output format.

    1. Allow the font size, page orientation and the # of questions per page to be adjusted.

    2. Matching questions do not show up at all in the pdf.

    3. Allow the pdf to open in a new window.

  11. Use formatted image dimensions in student display window

Images in the student display window should be displayed at same dimensions as they are formatted to be when the question is created (i.e., pixel width and height), and as they are displayed on the students' devices. Currently, the images in the student display window are much smaller. There is already a suggestion for image size when reviewing images, but this suggestion is for the image size in the question itself.

  12. provide an option for a classroom seat map to have an "owner"

The time it has taken to generate the 1550-seat map for our auditorium space has been significant. We're concerned that someone else might attempt to edit, or worse yet, accidentally delete, this map. This came up when we noticed that we are able to (but didn't) edit the seat map in another room on our campus.

Could it be possible--even on an optional basis--for a room's seat map to be assigned an "owner," and all edits need to be requested through that owner?

  13. change excel headers in download

Place the point value for a module/column in the header of the download spreadsheet! Currently, the points appear in the online gradebook, but once downloaded to csv spreadhseet, those points are gone from the header and I have to to the online gradebook and transfer that information by hand for each column - arrggh!

  14. Bug: "date cannot be in the past".

One cannot set the date of a LC module to a date in the past. (You get an error "date cannot be in the past".) Thus, if you forget to set the date correctly before your class, you can give up on having them properly sorted. I can see no reason for such a restriction and need a workaround so I can properly order my LC modules for the students to review.

  15. allow to assign a limited number of answers to multiple questions in the matching format

Currently you can only match a phrase or term with another different phrase or term. It would useful if one could use the same answers as well. This way you could sort several different descriptions into categories by matching with 2-3 answers.

  16. Self-test option:allow feedback at the option level and don't display correct answer till they completed or exhausted attempts.

Allow students to get instant feedback but not the correct answer. This could help them when they repeat the questions and help to guide them.

  19. matching

In matching questions, allow more "options" than "subquestions". For example, allow the instructor to list three subquestions and five options, of which two options have no match (i.e, there are two distractors). This allows the instructor to minimize the ability of students to determine the matches by process of elimination.
