  1. countdownd in automatic pacing should not delete students answers

    The moment the countdown starts in automatic pacing, all the answers of students that were not yet submitted are erased. This happens in several question modes like long answer, short answer, sketch and expression. Students find this very annoying.

    • Show bigger "uploaded images" when reviewing answers

      The current "upload image" questions are great for situations where students need to sketch and annotate their sketches. In particular for out of class assignments.

      Unfortunately the image size when reviewing the answers is too small to read most average size handwritings (on a photo of a letter sized paper).

      • make it possible to use images as answers for multiple choice questions

        I would like to post a multiple choice question where the answers are different graphs and students need to choose the correct graph based on the prompt. I do not seem to be able to use images as answers to multiple choice questions.

        • Allow me to choose multiple questions at one time from the library when creating modules

          It is too time consuming to click on a question from the library each time I want to add one to a module, then have to go back to the library to choose again (and enter my search criteria each time). Please include check boxes so that I can check all the questions I want to import from the library at one time!

          • Add a message to students regarding Class Session ID

            I got many emails when students were first registering for LC, asking me what the Class Session ID was. I responded to each person letting them know that they receive this ID during class; maybe add a small parenthetical note to that effect for the students, so there isn't confusion when first registering?

              When copying a question from one module to another, there is only one tiny drop-down box for the destination, which is crowded with every single module of every single course I have. It is a bit time-consuming having to mouse-slide through each module-name (many of them are similar since I teach the same course every semester) till I arrive at the correct destination. This can be made much easier by using a "windows explorer" kind of interface that can be expanded such that the origin and destination are easily visible and one needs to simply "drag and drop" files.                 incorporate a structure-drawing tool for chemistry and esp.
                organic chemistry. single structures are easy to compare and aggregate. for more complex drawings like mechanisms and synthetic schemes, need to use MarvinJS for drawing; Pearson already has code for assessing and aggregating responses

                  I wish to poll my class, but they should be able to answer anonymously. Otherwise, I can't ask questions that might be considered personal.

                      The team round allows students to view individual round answers for everyone on the team. If a session is stopped during the individual round (by accident, or before a member of the team contributes), there is currently no way to resume the session. This causes student answers to be distributed in two sessions, and the team has no way to view all answers.

                        As many of our users do not handle well/do not know how to enter questions directly into LC using HTML or Markdown for formatting (and LaTeX for math formatting) but a WYSIWYG would help them to have a better user experience.

                          In a large class, I would like to run a hybrid module, where the first question is used to assign students into teams, and then these teams stay the same for a team-based assessment of the remaining questions module.

                          • Provide a tracking statistic for the review of sessions by students.

                            Needed to compare assessment performance....
                            Currently I have to rely on students self-reporting if (and how often) they access older sessions for review prior to assessments.

                            • Bug: Missing images on some problems.

                              Some problems in the problem library have broken/missing images where there used to be valid images. I used some in a course, and now students who are trying to review complain that the images are missing. So far I have only noticed this with Pearson content questions. E.g.:

                              • Resizing images

                                It would be nice if LC allows to you to use html to resize images (e.g. <img src="v_vs_t.jpg" width="50%" height="50%" class="display">

                                I am writing questions with two images, and the default sizes seems depend on the width of the image, so the relative size of one picture to the other can look odd, where one picture is very big and the other tiny.

                                • I would like to be able to accept answers as correct on the fly.

                                  For example, 600 grams is the correct answer to a question. Someone entered 600. g and it was marked wrong. I'd like to be able to accept 600. g as the right answer and have it show up in green for the students to see.

                                      LC is a great program but has some user issues that slow me down. Example: if I have a module and want to delete 6 of the questions, I should be able to check the six items off and then delete them with one deletion action. Right now, 6 are required.

                                      When I use Pearson content, I often want to make a change to one of the questions (usually minor). But I can't, I have to use a tedious work-around.

                                      The same thing for copy and moving questions from one module to another. I should be able to move multiple…

                                        Instructors could set an optional 10 to 20 second timer on questions to encourage a prompt response.

                                          Allow an option for Learning Catalytics to recognize the fastest response out of a group. This would add a layer of competitiveness to game show style review sessions
