  1. countdownd in automatic pacing should not delete students answers

    The moment the countdown starts in automatic pacing, all the answers of students that were not yet submitted are erased. This happens in several question modes like long answer, short answer, sketch and expression. Students find this very annoying.

    • Drag and drop or copy and paste images into question stems or answers.

      I wish I could just cut and past images from ppt or other document; and/or drag and drop an image from my desktop into either question stems or answer blocks. It is a bit tedious to have to upload the image and then drag the image title to the appropriate box.

      When I try cut n' paste of images, the image does not always show up or it only half shows up.

      • Providing TeX editing pop-up for entering answer choices in multiple choice questions.

        To write mathematical expressions for the answer boxes I can only find two options: text, or image. Now, text does not really support mathematical editing. I am using image by employing LaTeXiT to create the expression, save as jpeg and copy the jpegs to the image list for the question. This is cumbersome. In particular considering that you already have that same functionality going for ther question editor. Any chance to extend that by adding a new method to edit answers via the TeX popup tool you have?

        • Make it possible to assign "the participation weight" for each question, rather than the entire module.

          I would like to vary the participation weight for different questions within a module. For example, I would like to count the first two questions of each class at 25% participation and 75% correctness but all the remaining questions to count at 100% participation. Currently, the participation weight set applies to all questions in the entire module.

          • Enhanced editor in Answer/Explanation

            It would be helpful to be ale to use the Enhanced Editor in the Explanation. When writing out equations and chemical formulas it is cumbersome to manually insert subscripts and superscripts as well as symbols.

            • improving the seat mapping function.

              provide a bigger working window (I was building a map for a 300-seat room). Allow copy/paste of blocks of seats--most rooms are symmetric. Possibly provide automatic symmetry replication so you could enter half the room and have the other half show up as a reflection. The delete key should delete selected seats.

              • Copy multiple modules at one time to another course

                I need to copy all 59 modules from one LC course to another specific course without having to go through the horribly tedious copy process of each module (which will take over 2 hours of continuous "selecting" from dropdowns)!!!! Copying a course in its entirety is NOT an option for me as the receiving course is linked to a Modified Mastering course. Another option would be to take a copy of an existing LC course and make IT the linked course (not currently possible according to 24/7 Support).

                  • Show bigger "uploaded images" when reviewing answers

                    The current "upload image" questions are great for situations where students need to sketch and annotate their sketches. In particular for out of class assignments.

                    Unfortunately the image size when reviewing the answers is too small to read most average size handwritings (on a photo of a letter sized paper).

                    • Allow individual round in Team-based Assessment to be paused before team round is started

                      I have students do the individual round of the TBA at home and the team round in class. I would like to have a cutoff time for the individual round or be able to pause it before the students come to class so I can avoid students out in the halls changing individual round answers before they get in their teams.

                        Thanks for this suggestion. One thought for a workaround now: start the team round as soon as you want the individual round to end. That way students can’t change their individual round responses in the hall before class, and you can tell students you will expect to see no team responses entered until class time (and you could then easily identify students that did start the team round before they should have).

                        Question types: when creating a new question, it would be nice to see all possible question types at once. Currently, one has to move left or right along a strip of possible question types to see all possible types or to find the one needed.

                        • LaTeX rendering issues?

                          Within the last week MathJax has stopped rendering LaTeX in browser (tried multiple browsers), but is still rendering in the active session window. Known bug? It seems to render just fine in a self paced module, but not in the instructor driven modules.

                          • Allow me to choose multiple questions at one time from the library when creating modules

                            It is too time consuming to click on a question from the library each time I want to add one to a module, then have to go back to the library to choose again (and enter my search criteria each time). Please include check boxes so that I can check all the questions I want to import from the library at one time!

                              There needs to be an e-mail address for the submission of bug reports. Asking me to sit at my computer for a half-an-hour on a very tedious chat conversation is neither efficient nor respectful of my time.

                                • Bug: Missing images on some problems.

                                  Some problems in the problem library have broken/missing images where there used to be valid images. I used some in a course, and now students who are trying to review complain that the images are missing. So far I have only noticed this with Pearson content questions. E.g.:

                                  • Make the Save & Preview button work again.

                                    After switching to the simple editor and entering my LaTeX code, I press Save and Preview. The button then grey's out and nothing happens. I then have to x out the window. Refresh the edit session window at which point my question will then appear in the list of questions. I think edit the question and click Save and Preview, and then the preview actually appears.

                                    Also, It's sort of irritating than when you scroll down to enter the correct answer and click in the box to enter the first answer (e.g. for multiple choice) the screen automatically scrolls back…

                                    • Allow long answer question answers to be edited rather than just cleared and rewritten

                                      It is frustrating for students when they go and change their answer to a long answer question. Currently their answer gets cleared and they have to rewrite the whole thing. if they could "edit" their response rather than completely rewrite it that would be better.

                                          I would like to perform an experiment by asking half the class one thing and the other half something else. I'd like to either select by blocks of seats or randomly. For example, ask half the class to imagine finding $20 and the other half to imagine finding 10¢ and then ask them to rate their happiness. Then compare the responses and discuss the experiment with the class.
